Just bought a new 30D!!!

I finally decided to take the plunge and upgrade from my point-and-shoot Powershot S3IS to a DSLR and grabbed an EOS 30D! :D I'm getting a bunch of lenses from a family member tomorrow so I'm relegated to using the crappy kit lens for today... Attached are a couple of my first pics! (I've obviously got alot to learn with how the camera functions.... but thats why we walk around taking pictures right?) :lol: It was a partially cloudy & cold day so I figured I'd shoot in Sepia, B&W, and color....

Great to hear your enthusiam. I am ready to do the same thing. I was hopeful a successor to the 30D would be announced at PMA, but no luck. I have been using my Rebel DSLR for 2 1/2 years and I am ready to upgrade. Curious why you chose the 30D over the XTi. I have been considering th XTi as I do lots of cropping and the additional pixels in the latter would be helpful. I have a friend who has the 30D and that is a great camera. Good Luck.
