Well, I'm still a month away from my first event. So I've been updating my portfolio and doing just about anything to keep myself busy. So here's a few photos I've dug up.

Nice shots. I really like the colors on all of them. I think the first or second are my favorites. Nice and sharp pans!

It's really difficult when the season ends and you have to wait a month to start over again. I don't worry with regards to me wanting to shoot. I worry with regards to how am I going to make a living when there's a month between gigs. Nice portfolio shots.

be thankful you're not in the midwest, turn that one month into 5 months. I'm really going to have to find something in the winter that moves really fast. :cool:

nice shots! I have a few of the Police biles from AMA race in Atlanta. Think some of the yellowplates I have from WERA race in Atlanta, not sure. I took lots of pictures at those races. Good job!

yes id like to know that as well i would guess 600mm ? 1/2000?

Those pans are not 1/2000th, the background would not have motion blur. Those are more like 1/250 or so, maybe even slower.

oh so thats how that is done i gotcha but how would you get such a crystal clear image of the rider you would think that would be a bit soft at 1/250 or slower

The first 3 are 1/160th last one 1/200th. All taken with the dreaded 100-400L.

Panning keeps the rider or what have you in focus.

Those are so nice and sharp !! Colors are awesome.
