I'm considering buying a Canon S410 camera in the US, but I live in Europe.
Can anybody tell me how the power supply for the S410/S400/S500 is designed? Does it support both 110V and 230V? Is it necessary to buy a special adaptor or will it be sufficient to buy an European generic power cable to plug into the supplied battery charger?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks!

If you buy the US model, it will have the two, flat bladed prongs like most US 110 Volt connectors.
You will definitely need a plug adapter to use the charger in Europe. Radio Shack in the US would be a good place to get a single or multiple adapter kit.

....but does the charger support 230V?? What does it say on the back of the charger?
It wouldn't help much to buy an adaptor plug if the charger fries the first time i plug it into the wall socket here in Europe

Yes, the adapter is good at 230 VAC. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.
