I've seen a post and a member said " one with my homemade strip light " . Can someone tell me what kind of light this is , how it's used , and maby some pics or links of this light .

Its a Long narrow softbox.

Thanks for your responce . Do you or any one know of a homemade narrow softbox . A DYI style .

I dont care for softboxes so i havent really looked into a DIY version.

You can achieve the same efffect with a set of Barndoors and a Diffusion panel. The pros to this method are ...

1. You arent limited By the size of the Softbox. Its infinitely adjustable so you dont need several sizes of Softbox to alter the size.

2. The distance between the Diffuser and light can be changed.

3. Its Cheaper.

You can take a larger rectangular softbox (e.g. 36" x 48") and turn it into a strip light simply by clamping pieces of black cardboard (or foamcore) over the front panel to mask it down in size in one direction! Don't waste money on a special strip light unless you have need to use one on a consistent basis due to the subject type you have!
