It is my understanding from my research that an adapter exists, but of course you only have manual focus, but no harm should befall your camera from using them.
I have no information indicating if WB or exposure are effected, but suspect not much, besides I shoot in RAW anyway.
Don't ask me where you can get an adapter, I will let you redo that research as the source may have changed in the past 6 months.
Just my research.

There are two types of adapters avaliable.
One has no glass in it,. and thus acts as an extension tube,. this changes the lens-to-film focal plane thus causing a loss of infinity focus.
In effect,. it will turn any FD lens you use on your EOS into a Macro lens.
The second type has glass in it and thus is a Teleconverter. Ie it increases the lenses focal length and magnification, just like 1.4X Teleconverter,. (except it is less than 1.4X.. I thinkit was 1.2 or some such number)
This second one is only usable on certain telephot prime FD lenses.
In either case,. it isn't really worth the effort,. the only time I saw it as a worth while effort was a freind who owns an FD 800mm prime (sold for like $6,000.00 new)
She still uses it with a 1D and the adapter.

Just to add..
Even with an adapter, you'll have no autofocus with non EF lenses..

You can buy cheap glass adapters on epay that (i think) allow infinity focus but they are cheap and crappy optically.
The genuine canon adapter mentioned above sells for over us$500 secondhand
It is actually far easier to adapt nikon or pentax screw mount lenses to EOS with the aid of cheap glassless adapters  (also available on ebay.
Any manual focus lens used on eos should be used in ' P' mode. You just select the aperture on the lens and the camera will choose a shutter speed to suit the light conditions. Not all cameras will do the great usual job of metering though. My 300D gets abit confused at times with the manual lenses i use on it.
Out of interest they are:500mm mirror lens,400mm preset lens,a konica 80-200/3.5 rebuilt with an eos mount, several nikkor lenses, occasional pentax screw mount lenses ...and many others just to try them!

http://www.srbfilm.co.uk/index1.html sells the adapter for £41-95 GBP.
It looks like the adapter has a glass element in it to allow infinity focus.

I bought one of these, and crappy is one way to describe it, but IMHO, I don't think the optics live up to crappy. I salvaged mine by taking the optics out, now I have a short extension tube for my FD lenses. :)
The lense I really wanted to use with it is a 15mm fisheye, and with the smaller than 35mm sensor, I wasn't getting 180 degrees anyway. I still have a couple of bodies for the FD lenses, so I'm just going to use film for those few 180 shots.

I was wondering if this topic had been covered, glad I searched. Seems like the adapter route is probably not worth it. Looks like my 50mm 1.4 FD will not get to meet my Dreb.

Actually you can get a 50mm 1.8 for the DRebel for a few bucks more than an adaptor. The 1.4 is still quite a bit more.

Yes you can put FD lenses on EOS Digital and film bodies with an adapter from Adorama. It's strictly mechanical connection allowing the lens to be mounted. No autofocus, however if you 'stop the lens to a particular aperture - the EOS meterring system on 'AV or 'Program' will complete the correct exposure.
I am using Asahi screw-mount lenses(300 f4 and 500 f4.5) with one of these adapters on a 10D and an ElanIIE with no problem.
