My girlfriend's mom just picked up this beaut. It's a 2007 Rathlin Red on Obsidian Black 6-spd V8 Vantage.

Took a couple quick shots, let me know what you guys think.

These are great. Beautiful car. I think the second one is very editorial looking. I could see it inside of a motor trend or car and driver.

I agree, it was my favorite of the 80 or so shots I took. I didn't have much time to play because we had to leave. She offered to let me take it for a spin, but she just brought it home that day so I think it was too soon. Maybe next time I'll get to take it out for a full shoot. The thing sounds beastly and it is so hot. The interior is all black leather with red stiching and black suede roof-liner and pilars.

IMO it's Aston Martin's nicest modern design yet.

How do you get the background blury and the car in focus?

Fortunately my girlfriend drives a vert, so I was able sit in it as a follow car and shoot the Aston while her mom paced us...

So basically I was traveling next to the Aston at the same rate of speed. I shot the shots anywhere from 1/50th to 1/100th, but I found 1/60 to be the best speed (we were driving at about 40-50mph.

I don't know if that was clear... but do you understand?

It's just ridiculous how gorgeous Astons are -- all of them. They are truly art. Great shots of an amazing ride.
