A few different classes were running along with DE's - nothing crazy. I was there to shoot for DP Motorwerks and catch a few Spec E30's, but got some other stuff as well....

Great shots. Good catpures on the S2000 going off. Like the Viper pan as well. Lovely colour.

One other thing, what does this mean

A few different classes were running along with DE's - nothing crazy.

And what's VIR as per the title?

They were running the full course with drifting in the center. I didn't shoot any of the drifting though.

Dave, sorry for not clarifying. VIR is Virginia International Raceway: http://www.virclub.com/vir/ - great track! Probably the best in Virginia...definitely is in my opinion.

DE = Driver's Education. Classes are the types of cars in a race. I was mainly there for the Spec E30 class which is an older 3-Series BMW that is only modified to be race-ready - mostly keeping its stock/factory components to keep racing up to the drivers and not how much motor you have.

Thanks, I often wonder what people are on about with their Three Letter Acronyms and abbreviations etc. I always try to explain what I'm up to and what I was shooting in my threads as it's usually very varied and people who aren't in the UK won't have a clue.

I should have said I know what an E30 is though!

VIR looks cool 8)
