Found out this filmography (is that the right word?) company will be filming a big wedding at the Biltmore in Arizona that I will be the second shooter at this summer:

whoah @ their past clients!!
anyway, thought I would share the link...it's a very nice website and looking forward to seeing how this company shoots. Most "moving picture" types that I'm used to working with seem like they're more in it for the money than the art, so maybe this will be a nice change.

Paul Korver is brilliant. You'll have a blast.

cool...have you worked with him? I guess since these guys are all film, they do pretty well with lighting? A lot of this wedding will be at night, so if they are using some killer video lights I think I'll have it made!

The other cool thing about this wedding coming up is, it's my first to travel for(even though I'm just a second shooter) and I recently purchased a Photovision DVD with Michele Celentano where she was shooting in the Biltmore, so I have some great ideas to pass along to my mentor! woohoo...I'm excited and it's still a few months away.
oh...photovision is here, if anyone is interested:

Yea - they use some little video lights and they definitley saved us on the wedding (http://opensourcephoto.blogspot.com/2007/01/landon-and-bianca.html) we shot together which was also at night.
You're gonna have a blast!

DJ, know what "little video lights" they used? I really need to find something creative - hate the dark winters here.

hmmm...I don't :( ... they shoot all film so they had battery packs to run them but I'm not sure which brand. I bet just about any video light would work and I think theirs were bigger than you'd want to lug around.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Need to find something smart/easy to carry. I doubt I need something that can run for 8-10 hrs, but something that can run on batteries for maybe a copule of hours.

Thanks a ton for the info. Heck, I posted the link because I thought it was a cool sight and am pretty excited that I'm getting to shoot this wedding...I had no idea I was going to get a little heads up on them. Thanks a bunch!
