So i used a single_raw image to create an HDR image to save the grass from being blown out behind her.

Looks good.
I need to learn more about this technique.

yeah alot of people over tone map alot which makes a really neat image but looks nothing like a photograph... if it's done correctly as trying to save blow outs and shadows
you can get really neat people and sky effects in 1 shot... granted there isnt a sky really in my picture but if i didn't use the process ... from about her waist to the trees would of been mostly white/green ish glow.

This is a great usage of tone mapping, I have used similar techniques in my own shots extensively.
People seem to be attracted to extremes when it comes to new 'techniques' and seem to miss the more subtle methods.

Excellent work and just proof that it is worth the effort to go thru the HDR process sometimes, wonderful colour range.

So you took 1 raw, adjusted the exposure several times, stacked them, then did tone mapping, correct? Turned out pretty good. This is a technique a lot of people never think to do when shooting raw. Beautiful girl too! ;)

R_Metzel : your correct on the process... I thought about doing it on location making 5 different exposures but the wind was to much ... so I had to do it from 1 photo.
yes I used photomatix .. sorry really don't remember the settings for the photo. =(
but it was prolly around - Str 70-90 - color 60ish - meh... can't remember...

Wow! I love them both! Great images with nice crisp edges, color, focus and a classically beautiful model. Very well done. Post more, if you have them.
