I believe in the year 2012 and 2037 there will be huge announcements.

2012 would be the 75th anniversary of Canon and 25th anniversary of EOS system. 2037 would be 100th anniversary of Canon and 50th of EOS if it lasts that long.

Ahh, 2012 will indeed be a great year. It will be my first full year of retirement, and I expect to spend more than half of it behind the lens . . . . on weekdays!

according to a thread on dpreview digital cameras will be passe within a decade with all the pros using HD video cameras to obtain movie clips and stills. Me i'll just shoot on with my old fashioned MKIII ignoring the gaffaws of passers by.

Rumor has it that the "Myan Calender" Sp? belives tha that comething will happen in 2012 too...Maybe world will end in 2012 or something crazy like that.
