That topic of Mark II missing features gave me food for thought. I use the internal flash sometimes for a bit of daylight fill, but that's really all I've ever used it for. What about you?

Considering I have no external flash yet.... all my money went to lenses.

Actually, it should read "Yes, when I'm too lazy to drag out the shoe-mount". :)

I do use mine occasionally. Whenever I want to travel a little light, I'll not take the 380EX - Instead, if I run into a situation where I need flash, I'll just pop up the little one and fire away.

Yea, Yea, me too.

When the Drebel is being used for general purpose things, when I want to go light. I used it tonight to shoot a party, with the kit lens. Much less trouble than dragging out the 550EX.

I did notice, however, that wrapping my fingers around the top of the lens caused some shadowing (yes, I was chimping). Good thing I saw it, I changed my hand position. :D

I can't say never, but I seldom use built-in flash. The built-in flash in D60 does not assist focus. (And this kind of focus assist "flash" is very annoying some times...)

D60 is really poor for autofocus in low light. So, the external flash is my necessary accessory and it will always stays in my bag.

Heck.. I hardly use any flash be it internal or external.

I think the last time I took flash pictures was last Christmas when I took the obligatory kids opening presents under the tree photos.

Almost all my shooting is done outdoors.. It's mostly during the day. I do use my external flash now and then for fill.. But rarely.

I've only ever used it on the odd occasion when I forget to take the external flash with me.

I'd never use the internal flash on my 10D. I'd rather uprate the film speed and, if necessary, either use the shadow/highlight tool in CS or a digital flash technique (such as the ones in Scott Kelby's book), to improve the image.

Cheers,
