Any chance of POTN getting a weekly or monthly photo contest going? The competition forum, except for the current book polls, doesn't seem to actually have any kind of organized competition going on.

Granted the book polls overshade it a bit but there is this one which is a regular competition and I even think there is still a price to the winner generously donated by a member. Check it out here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=271149
