Here are some things i shot around my room; im new at digishooting. each pic on its 3rd or 4th try.

Try using the Custom White Balance. Auto WB is stupid.

Try saying AutoWB is inaccurate, or unwieldy, or unpredictable, but not stupid. The implication is that people who use it are stupid. I use it almost all the time, unless I am going for a particular effect.

The guy is new, OK, and by the looks of it, he has offered 5 more images for critique than you have. You remind me of an old Steve Martin song where he says "Criticize things you don't know about."

Lets see some of your work - in other words, put up or shut up. :evil:

ok. ill try CWB. its koo radtech. in critique corner, we're meant to be bashed so we can correct our mistakes.

guess ill go shoot some flowers, they seem to grab a lotta attn.

I own a dictionary. Maybe you should get one. According to Webster, "Stupid" = "Not Intelligent", and I stand by my post.

As to: The implication is that people who use it are stupid. , I didn't male that connection. You did.

Yahoo does not allow linking to pics, however I've posted the link several times. Do a search, if you can figure out how.

Hey Mettl did you just use existing light? Seems so. Maybe a litle flash would give you balance. What settings did you shoot at?

thanks for the welcome

i shot them in my room, with the halogen lamp on lowest.
no flash for any of them, about 1-2 second long shutter for the shots.

It just seems that close range flash completely destroys ur image, i cant figure out how to make flash work WITH ME. all my pictures seem to come out much nicer with existing lights. sadly, the Elphs arent blessed with a slew of manual controls, my friends A70's got almost everything customizable (esp. flash control <----- that's just RIDICULOUS! :P ); everything but camera faceplates.
