Please review this wedding contract...

My girlfriend and I will be shooting our first wedding in June, this is the contract we have so far. Does anyone see any holes or unecessary info? We've already met with the client once and we are all already on the same page as far as what is expected, styles, results etc. Just want to make sure we have ourselves covered.

Only thing we havent added yet formally are Business info and contact at top and price.

A couple of things I didn't like (personally) and would change are "Photographers to report to" - maybe "Event location"

"number of step-parents"? Why do you need this info? Is to organise the family group shots? If so, the way I approach them is in the final consult I ask them to make a list of all family/friends they would like in their group shots - and then to give it to a good friend/uncle/MOC etc who after the ceremony will start calling for people...this works great and moves things along fast for me. I don't know over 100 rellies. I can't think of any other reason to ask that question?

Your request for special photographs is a very small space. (lol is that a hint!) *jk*

Few suggestions: get it revised by a lawyer if you want to start in the area or see your professional photographer association for templates (membership may be required to access that info, but I'm sure you will find it helpful in the future)

Here are my points:
1. Define who are the photographers.
2. Mention that the contract is the full agreement. Anything not written is not part of the agreement.
3. Don't say that the retainer is a % of the fee. State the amount clearly. Use % and it may be considered as a deposit and you may not get to keep it if everything goes bad!

These are just some points that I noticed quickly. Not by all means exhaustive...

You should spell out what the purpose is of the online photos. Are they for print orders, gallery, proofing etc., also the length ot time the photos will be available online. They may expect you to host them online for 6 months, 1year and so on.

Get a lawyer to review it, or use a standard contract from your local professional organisation.

Wow, that's gotta be the shortest "contract" I've seen. More of an info sheet than a contract.
