get the Jessops tubes - they will maintain all the linkage even with your 18-55mm. You wont get TTL metering/flash with those tubes.

For £10 can you not just use full manual and a light meter anyway?
I thought that's what was advised with macro.

You can but you lose control of the aperture, unless you set the aperture with the lens directly on the camera and take it off whilst depressing the DOF preview button- then you are stuck with a very dim viewfinder.

I just got these cheapee tubes and I like them for $20 I can see if I like macro and then buy more expensive one. I like the set DOF preset said in previous statement. I'll try it.

Even at Wide open I'm getting nice pictures as long as I set the shutterspeed right.

You have no control over the aperture. You have to put the lens on first set aperture, press the DOF preview and take off while preview to stop down.
Seems to much trouble to me, so I went and got some Kenko tubes off ebay seller in HK. UrGalaxy if I remember rightly. Only cost me about £35 + P&P. The Kenko ones are great and full TTL etc. Very happy with those.

Just wanted to bump this and say I also got the Kenko extension tubes from Urgalaxy on ebay and they arrived fast with no duty/taxes owing to Canada. So don't hesitate to order from them, they did me right anyways.
