HiTi 730PS Photo Printer...
Has anyone used one of this sub dye printer?
Steve's Digicam seems to have rave review about it...
Holy Grail for average consumer? Probably not but looks promising. ;)

Hey,
Theres something missing. That $0.40 per print, is really just the price of THE PAPER! The price of the print cartridge is conspicuously absent. These are usually quite expensive and you may find that price per print goinf up significantly.

The paper pack comes with the "ink" already included. THere's nothing more to buy, except, of course, the electricity.

Thats not a bad deal for Dye sub.. I was looking at the Olympus for a while but was put off by the cost of consumables.. and the lack of lexibilty in them (ie: only Olympus' pricy paper)
...but the pics look really nice!
I also don't know enough about them as far as how servicable they are over the long haul. My fear of Inkjets was brought on by there poor service life,. so I looked at dye-sub in the hopes that they were a more duarable product. But I never found a real answer to that beyond a few owners personal opinions.
