How do I know this, because I decided I would show Canon for not releasing the camera I wanted.
I am no longer depressed, unless the above statement is actually correct :)
I went and bought a lot of miscellaneous things I have wanted, but was holding off on getting in order to be able to afford a 1DsMkIII when it came out. Well I can't afford one now.
Just ordered From BH and AB:
From BH:
- USED Canon 70-300 DO IS (it was a toss up between this and a 28-300, but after much consideration I went with this, because I will still want to bring my 28-70/2.8L along on the 27 day cruise my Mother is taking me on )
- Kenko 3x teleconverter (I hope this is decent because this is what I will use if I need more range with the 70-300 DO or other lenses)
- Bogen Auto-pole kit with bases, extention poles, and alu-core kits ( I have been looking at this for over a year now as a more professional portable studio option.
- Sennheiser EW G2 100 kit with extra cables to plug into sound boards (for XL-2, so I can do stereo)
and some Sandisk cards ; 2x 8GB Extreme IV and 1x 4GB UII SDHC kit (again for the trip I am taking, plus my threshold for losing images is higher overall and the rebate (which I normally dis-like ) are good enough they are cheaper then the Extreme III cards in the end if the rebate actually comes through )
From AB,
a spare RR1 set, spare vagabond battery, 10ft stand, boom Arm, Large Octobox, 2 extra lite mod kits, second snoot and a pair of barn doors (may still get the other brand as well, but for now these will work ) I considered adding a ring light, but I will wait for the Zues to be out first.
So take that Canon for not coming out with the camera I want when I wanted it.
Unless I win the lottery it will now be October at the earliest before I can afford an $8,000 camera again.
So take that!!!
