I's there anyone that can tell me what a pocket wizard is , how it works , and if maby I should consider getting one and why ?

if you want to fire flashes or cameras remotely they are an excellent product that works consistently and reliably.

I too am in the market for a PW. I just returned from a sporting event (sea Otter) and there were about a dozen photogs with remote systems. So, not interfering with other people is a must for me.

I have read the threads and looks like I am going to purchase the PW. I have a 580ex and would like to also get an AB800 down the road.
