I believe this to be a juvenile red tail who let me get close enough to get a decent shot.

Yup, junior red tail. I see that lens is nice and sharp. :)

It is one of the few pics I have gotten with it that I am happy with, but I am not sure how much of it is the lens;)

Well, those zooms love light. Lot's of light. When you have lite, they shine. :)

Through all those twigs and branches you have a nice clear shot of the Juvenile. With all that budding, Spring is near.

Nice clear picture you got there. I am still trying to get a good clear picture of the local hawks here. The few I have gotten I was not able to get close enough.
