How good is your memory? Really? Could you locate a picture you took from 2 or 3 years ago of a kid playing baseball and hitting his first homerun? What if you had several from that season on the CD of that kid? Which one is really his first homer?
Have you ever gotten into your big box with all your pictures looking for one specific picture and come across vacation pictures? Looked at a few of them and wondered "what in the hell is that? Where is that from?"

Using the file info tool can make getting the exact shot from a year ago or 10 years ago much easier and takes all the guess work out of it.
