I am attempting to build a profile for my S9000 printer using Ilford smooth gloss paper and it isn't going well. I have attempted to do this myself using Monanco ez-color and recently had a profile created by Cathy's Profiles. In both cases the prints are dark and have a magenta cast to them compared to my monitor. I have followed the directions exactly in creating the profiles and in printing using them. My monitor is profiled using Monaco Opix and I have used profiles in other output devices (Frontier) without any problems. What I think is happening is that I'm somehow double profiling the image in the canon print driver. I'm using the most recent driver version in Mac OS 9.2. If anyone has any experience with this sort of problem using Mac OS I'd love to hear it, this whole process is really starting to bug me.

Possibly you have the ICM button ticked in the advanced section for colour, you should have ticked none from the drop down menu, this stops any possible double profiling from occuring. The only extras to use are size and orientation of page Quality/diffusion and from the effects tab.
The clour quality tab should be custom ticked and then none chosen from the drop down tab where it says none-photo-graph-etc.
Hope this helps.
