Surprised at the low ratings,. they have been a staple in the PC industry for years,. and have allways been a pleasure to do business with. They are in fact part of the same conglomeration that includes PCMall, MacMall etc... (pretty sure anyways, either that or they just share mailing lists :) )

I bought my 10D from them and have my MKII on order from them. Their service, delivery have been awesome.

CDW is very reputable IMHO. My school has purchased a lot of computer components from them with no problem. They have recently acquired Microwarehouse as well. Maybe they cater better to the business buyers than home buyers ???

CDW is the largest computer reseller anywhere. They and their immediate competition got into digicam sales about 3 years ago. I worked for their competitor for a number of years, and we always butted heads on product price and availability. I feel the reputability or lack of reputability of a reseller falls completely on your sales rep's performance. Work with a rep from CDW, don't order on-line directly. Lean on your rep for confirmation of your order, product availability, pricing, delivery, and returns.
Unfortunately, all of the reps at these resellers are pressured by their sales managers to produce daily numbers, sometimes making "optimistic" claims about product availability to build their backorders to save their jobs. If your rep feels that honesty will get him future orders, he'll produce for you. He will also negotiate on pricing and usually beat their web price.
If they had that many unhappy customers, they wouldn't be #1.

Okay... I can't stand it anymore... I've been reviewing the specs, examining available photos and reading all the reviews on the net and I'm going to make the jump on Monday and order the 1D mkII. I already ahve several people interested in buying my 10D with the battery extension accessory. I'm hoping the 1D mkII is everything I've read about. I can't wait to get it! ! ! I'm hoping it's a better tool for sports shots (Although I have done very well with the 10D). My wife is going to KILL ME! ! ! If you don't hear from me much after April... you'll know why! This will be the last camera for me for quite some time! I sure hope Justin is in the office on Monday! ! ! :)

Jon: For sports shooting, going from the 10D to the MKII like I will also be doing, will be literally entering an entirely different world of photography. I can hardly wait for my first race!
