point and shoot camera, but obviously not point and shoot perspective. I guess there are couple things you could do with PS to enhance it, but it's fine as is as well.
Not in favor of war, but seeing all these men and women die day to day is so sad. God bless them. So many families are incomplete. Very nice photo, lot's of emotion behind it.
Thanks for sharing!

Great shot, ya don't see alot of this in the papers. I am happy and proud to see respect given to the fallen heros "over there". I know it is shown here but always wondered if it was "just for the family's".
I have lost two friends in the "sand box", do i support war? maybe not, but without it just what language would we be typing in and could we really speak our peace in here?
Thanks for the pictures and mostly for your time serving, people like you let alot of ungreatful people bitch about taxes and the price of gas.

Not a picture I' sure any of us like to see, but you did well to capture the moment and emotion of what's going on.
I'm never in favor of war, but my hat's off to those that do what they do every day to preserve our freedom.

Powerful image ... however, you might try to rotate it clockwise by 1-2 degrees to get the top of the truck straight.
Just one thing ... I remember a story (1-2 years ago, also discussed here on the forum) about a guy working with a contractor who lost his job because he took a similar image (coffins being loaded to plane) and sold it to a newspaper. Mainly because it was against regulations to photograph anything and make it publicly available, at least according to his contract. You'd better check...
The reason that 'you don't see many of these images' as it was earlier put in this thread is that there are powerful organizations who *do not want* images of coffins with American flags out there in the public - one lesson learned from Vietnam.
Best regards,
Andy

thanks for all your comments. i didn't do any PP to the photo. i just didn't feel like doing it for my own reasons.
this was a sight all too common for us there. sad but true. the Marines that were pictured were killed by an IED just hours before the photo was taken. the Marines were being processed for thier return back to the US to thier families.
RIP.

It's a powerful photo, lots of emotion packed into it - P&S or not, you captured a moment and I think that's what counts not what camera you took it with.

God Bless all those who sacrifice, and the ones they leave behind. War is ugly business, but does anyone have a realistic alternative. God bless those who step up. It's alot easier to sit back and armchair quarterback, but the reality is their will always be war, and those who go are heroes. Let us never have another vietnam homecoming. Rather you agree or disagree with the war or the politics. Those who go, have sacrificed. They should be honored.
Great photo.

It could not have been said better.
Every single soldier is a hero for sacrificing a chunk of their lives to protect the priceless freedom we all enjoy. And that goes for their families at home too. They sacrifice just as much.

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference in this world. Marines don't have that problem.

Very well said indeed. These men & women are absolutely making a difference in the world, and I for one sincerely appreciate the ultimate sacrifice they are making.
Thank you for posting this strong, emotional image and reminding me how grateful I am to live in a free society.
