Since buying my dRebel I take it everywhere I go. A lot of times I see an interesting person or a cute kid and want to take a picture. Sometimes I go un noticed but occasionally I am given the "evil eye" and it bothers me. Am I really intruding by capturing others or am I just being too paranoid?

I dont want to miss a good photo but I also dont want to be forced to eat my camera. The nice thing about my old G3 was the swivel LCD. I could take a picture of just about anyone without them having a clue.

What are your thoughts on taking pictures of strangers and how can I get over me feeling like I am being a pest.

I've heard of some people freaking out because they *thought* someone was taking their picture when they were just photographing a scene. Everyone is different, there is certainly a possiblity of "eating your camera" if you take a picture of the wrong person. If you are in a public place they can't really do much unless you try to sell your photos using their image.
