1. His g-string line was clearly visible under his camo pants. Very hot.
2. His teeth stuck out farther than his bayonet. Psycho, baby.
3. His camera strap was a bit tight, causing his tongue to bulge and lap at his buck teeth. Loved that.
4. He couldn't load his gun because his ammo belt was full of Compact Flash Cards. Way to go, bro'.
5. His platoon-mates were smiling from ear to ear at all times so as to be ready for Malone to whip out that camera and shoot their picture. Always prepared.
6. He had trouble running because he was weighed down by extra Ni-Mh batteries. That's why he's dying for the MKIII's lighter weight batteries. Smart man.
7. When asked questions by the interviewer, his cell phone kept ringing to keep him informed of his success, or lack thereof, in Ronald's three-hundred fifty-fourth auction/sale of the brick. Annoying to the interviewer; I liked his Barney the Dinosaur ringtone.
8. While his fellow soldiers were swatting away desert flies, Malone was busy adjusting his bra and manties. I loved the snapping sounds.
9. When the "INCOMING" was sounded, Malone whipped out that camera and was ready. Yeah, Baby.
And the 10th and final critique of Malone's performance during the Battle:
He was awarded the Medal of Honor for designing pinstriping on the new uniforms.
:) :p

Malone explains that the tv listings are not accurate but assures us it will be shown nonetheless.
He's got a new line of manties and bought all the commercial time.

Sadly, you all just might be treated to Dinosaurs. :(

I just got off the phone with the Discovery Channel, and they can't tell me why it's not showing the show on the listing. Maybe there's a miscommunication with the website administrator and the TV program director? They don't know, and I don't know. Bottom line, there's a 50/50 chance that it will air. If it does not air, it's supposed to re-air on The Military Channel on 2 April 2007. I don't want to be the one to cry wolf here, but I just want to give you guys the heads up in case you're wondering why you're spending your Saturday evening expecting to hear combat stories, but instead seeing dinosaurs.
I just wish I knew for sure myself. I just sent out e-mails to hundreds of people and posted bulletins on MySpace. I'd feel pretty stupid if the show didn't come on as scheduled. :(

I think you'll be watching Dinosaurs too, Bill. :(
All hope is not lost. I'm hoping it's a programming mistake. The Discovery Channel people have told me that it has happened in the past. We'll see...

As for feedback on Lard_Malone,. I thought he was underexposed, and soft around the edges.

I'm glad I can make people laugh. That's one of my main goals in life. :)
I like those moon shots. Here in the northeast U.S. it was just cloudy and nothing could be seen.

Here's the latest...
Hello Joshua and Ed,
Here's the latest on the Tal Afar episode. It did, in fact, air on Military
Channel in early February (and will air again very soon). It was scheduled
to air on Discovery Channel this past Saturday, March 3 at 9pm.
Unfortunately, Discovery decided to re-vamp their entire line-up last week,
and bump "Combat Zone" to a new timeslot, which they've yet to announce. The
last I heard is that Tal Afar might air as soon as this Thursday, but in a
daytime timeslot. Please be sure to check local listings.
If I hear anything definite in the next few days, I'll be sure to forward
the info directly.
Best wishes,
Rhys

I feel bad that I missed it completely, but after reading on, apparently it wasn't shown anyway. I DO want to see it. Really.
I'm not just saying this to gain favor of someone with a 50/1.2 either. :)

I have it on my DVR. I need to see if i can get a dazzle card or something to send it to my computer and then maybe I can upload it somewhere for everyone to see.

Dude, you're awesome.
BTW, Maverick was one of the very few members who actually caught the original airing and PMed to tell me it came on. Thanks again, brother.

No problem. If anyone can recommend a good video capture card, that would be a good start. Let me look around and I'll let everyone know as soon as I figure this out.

If you have it on DVR, you can download programs to "rip" the DVR Data into files onto your PC.. and covert to something more portable like an Mpeg.
I'm not up to date on the more recent programs for this, but there used to be "DVD Decryptor" and "Clad" amung others.
I'm sure there are free ones.

When you say the "original AIRING," do you speak of the unveling of your frilly manties to the outside world?  :p
