AJ,
Always exciting to get a chance at a beautiful bird when you're not expecting it.
Looks like you took full advantage of the oppurtunity, great shot.

Is this one of your trained raptors? Excellent capture AJ...nicely posed and well exposed, and a beautiful contrasting bokeh.

Thanks all for commenting. This lovely lady has been frequenting my backyard for the past few months. She has never been this close before and I was surprised to see that she would sit so long and let me photograph her. It was a pleasant surprise!

I was going to say, if he was coming around fairly regular, I think I'd get a mouse for him. ;)

Great shot AJ, you must have feeders nearby. Once they discover the easy meals to be had it will become a regular visitor.
