Has anyone explored the possibility of converting the LinearSharpen 3.42 action to run in The Gimp?

I don't know either.

But if anyone ever hears about it, could you please please let me know?

I have encountered two problems: the first is lack of a Channel Mixer in The Gimp. There appears to be a plug-in at http://registry.gimp.org/plugin?id=1918 but I'm not sure whether it works in the current version or not. I'm also running the Gimp on Windows and don't have source, so I couldn't build this plug-in to try.

The second problem is the lack of ICC support, though that appears to be something you can add. It may only be on Linux, though: http://www.khk.net/color/color_manager.html. The plug-in that can tag TIFF files with ICC profiles is a patch against version 1.1 of the source, so I'm pretty sure that's out.

There is surprisingly little discussion about the Gimp, ICC profiles, or Channel Mixer capabilities.

I have posted a message to the gimpwin-users group on Yahoo Groups, but have received no replies thus far.
