demolishing old hotel

this is an old hotel in westerly, rhode island that was being demolished or remodeled or something. i was in between dslr's at the time, and actually took these pictures with a nikon fe2 and scanned them.

Ukuleleman you are right, but just think how much better it would have been if the shots had been taken on a Canon! LOL

the nikon was actually given to me, it was a pretty neat camera though. but i am a canon guy, i shoot with a 5D now, recently upgraded from 20D. thanks for the comments everyone.

That FE-2 is a great camera! These are good pics rich with texture. I hope they just restore that building instead of putting up a new one.

The first pic tells quite a story, I would like to see it though without the keystoning effect. I like the second one, well composed, but it seems to be a bit oversharpened. What conversion method did you use?

I really like the first capture. Everything is just structurally there :) the crane, the verandah, the stairs, and the multitude if windows. the strange part is that the further up I go, the less of a photo it becomes? was there any drastic ending done to the top part of the building?

I think there is something raw about these shots. Terminal decline; destruction, like the B&W...
