Does this shot has any artistic value? It's nothing special, just a naked lady.

It looks like a good shot...
It’s just so NOT natural. The natural curves of a woman are destroyed with breast enhancements. The fake breasts turned the shot off for me.....
Any natural ladies?

Thanks for your feedback.

I thought the setting in the train yard was quiet nice..

I agree about the fake boobs, but it makesher more confident so who am i to stand in the way of a wad of silicon.... lol

I don't get the nude girl in a trainyard thing. There seems no obvious connection ( to me) between nude girls and trainyards. A bit like the night shots a while back of a girl in front of an oil refinery or something.

Is it just the fact that they don't go together normally or am I missing something?

First I'd like to say....

It seems often we have either of two responses with the subject matter.

1. Gurggle... Nothing constructive.. we just like neked people :)

2. The flip side,. we go over critical.. and find things to nitpick.

I don't see why the setting has to be a negative,. nor do I see the fact that she is uncloathed as a detractor either..

No ones ever told me my location or setting was hard to understand. But then I've never photographed a neked person.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personally,. I like the image a lot,. I think the model is lit very well,. a nice subdued lighting.. I think it could have been a bit darker and more "shadowy" to match the dark suroundings.

I like her pose,.. she does not look at all uncomfortable,. which is impressive given the setting.. (I'd be a nervous wreck  )

The setting I don't see as much of an issue,. or a contributor, other than the dark rustic look,. it could have been any of a number of locations that would give a similar mood and atmosphere atmosphere,. but the "train" aspect is lost,. I would not have realised it was a train if it did not say so in the title.

Thanks CDS,

I didn't mean to imply that the setting detracted from the image in any way.

I just personally don't understand it. I don't expect to understand everything that everyone puts in an image.

I only asked for my own education.

So seriously Jason, why a railroad yard?

The theme for this shoot was trains. The actual shoot was for a magazine and that was the theme. I guess anyone that knows trains would recognise the train in the background. I know after we submitted the photos that some of the people came back with the actual model of the box car etc. There are more photos than this of course and more detailed photos fo the trains with her in it too. So the motivation was the magazine first as well as the portfolio.

P.S. I really like contrasty shots where the model is in a place that doesn't suit her (you would normally not see a model there). Like I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago of a model in a red bikini whilst steel was being poured behind her (a long way behind her).

i really dont know what to make of this????

1. Nice looking lady
2. i know its a train, but there is not enough for me to make a connection
3. you said the theme was trains??? i see part of the train, but........
4. now im rambling......
5. i like the way the flash hits, her and part of the train. It gives it a certain look.

either way i like the pic, but i just dont see theme as trains.

bravo!!!!

OK - thanks Jason,

So I guess it is basically just that the two things don't normally go together.

Now that all that has been said, since the photo shoot had a theme and the theme was met I think it's great photo that has all the content within it that was intended (train & nude girl). There are some aspects I don't completely get but thats a moot point as they have all been made already.

Jasonco: I like your  idea about having the model in an unexpected location, makes the shot dramatic and more interesting to look at. Good work.

I think she is an attractive woman, but this shot doesn't enhance her looks at all. The boobs are too sharp - first thing you notice - you can really tell they are fake in this shot - maybe because she is holding her arm up - since they are fake, she may need to do a different pose to not make it so obvious they are fake - i.e bending down slightly. Also, the one hair that dangles down in her face is annoying.

Maybe a softer focus would soften the whole look.

Good shot overall though and again she is very attractive.

I like the shot, I don't love it, I just like it.

To nitpick: the tit is disturbingly big, it crushes the scene and doesn't let the eye wander away.... If you'd ask me how I'd do it, I'd say, I'd try to emphasize the difference between fragile, beautiful and lively woman's body and cold, rusty, strong steel train. This is a shot of a part of the train, recognizable to connoisseurs, it wouldn't matter much if the location was jus about anywhere else. But the point is, if it is not ultra obvious that it's a train the emphasis cannot be made. I guess.

Glad to see you could put it so nicely

I agree though, i mean i realize she's a busty women (now) but that just seems to be the only thing i notice. And although it sounds like it's a joke, when i'm looking at nice nudes i notice the whole body...all of the womens sexyness. Here is a rule of thumb, if you can make guys go wild without even showing her breasts, then you've done a good job.

Take a look at the nudes charlesu has showed us, the subject is stunning yes, but i think it's the photographer that makes the photo stunning.
