I really was not trying to get fancy, there is no editing at all, I really like the shadow and the lighting. Shot with kit lens

It looks like the focus was in the center to me...
I agree with you 90blackcrx the lighting is neat, but the photo just doesn't really jump out or lend itself to too much discussion. It's not bad, but I'd bet most people don't really know what to say. I'm sure you'll get some more posts though, this is a great forum.

ya, don't really know what to say, maybe a different crop would have helped it have a little more pop

Well, to me this looked like a hastily done snapshot of something that doesn't appeal to me. While the latter isn't of big importance in criticising a shot, the former aspect is.
What makes it feel that way? Primarily, the way you cut the circle on the bottom and right side, while you leave space on top and left. But also the way you didn't seem to pay attention to the circle of the chair beneath the wheel. The focus seems way off, unacceptable for such a still life shot and the background is too busy. The shadow isn't working for me, as it has to compete with so many structures. A uniform background would have helped a lot. The light makes it hard to read the letters in the center (and they are blurred too). In my opinion, I would not even use it for eBay.
So, the same wheel, same light, but better, uniform background, more sensitive choice of crop and better focus would be required to make me happy with it.
cheers

Sorry just don't get it. Crop is off to me, gap at the top, bottom cut off. Trying to work out where the focal point is as the centre doesn't seem to be in focus.
