Hi,
I´m new at this forum. I´m from San Sebastian (Basque Country-north of Spain).
I´d like to purchase a 70-200 zoom and dude between canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and canon 70-200mm f/4 ???
what do you recommend?
I do mostly travel and nature photography.
Thank you and regards

Welcome to POTN!
f/2.8 and f/4 represent the maximum aperture of the lens. f/2.8 will let in twice as much light as f/4, so it will be better in low light situations. As you probably noticed, the f/2.8 version is also a lot more expensive, bigger and heavier.
70-200 is a very popular focal length range. Canon makes IS (image stabilized) and non-IS models, and there are also nice lenses made by Sigma, Tamron and others in that same range. You have many choices.

As Curtis pointed out, the f/2.8 weighs more. Since you want to shoot travel and nature, not indoor sports, the f/2.8 is not so essential. And for travel, the lighter weight and lower bulk of f/4 lens can be beneficial when it is time to get on airplanes within the carryon weight limts that are often imposed! f/4 IS would be my suggestion.

Ditto!
