I really like the shadows in this... Personally, I don't see the need for any color here. it's an alley which conveys an eerie mood, somewhere you don't want to be late at night, (which ironically you're at, though i've been guilty of the same :)) let's convey that.

p.s. thats a lotta gear you have there, are you using all that? feel free to donate the 70-200/4L if its collecting dust ;)

That wall to the right keeps stealing my eye away from the unsettling murk down the alleyway. Hmmmmm.... perhaps if you darkened it somewhat while cranking the mid tones in the alley up a hair? I like your sense of forboding and am captivated by the reflections from the stream of urban bile that's oozing down the centerway toward that light which offers the only security against... what? Who? I like it that this makes me wonder. Nice....
