Okay.... Okay.... UNCLE! ! !
I just ordered my 1D MkII about 5 minutes ago. :)
Now I have to go apply dry ice to my credit card in anticipation of it bursting into flames!
Thanks Jim... Your remarks on the improved sports shots in another thread put me over the edge.
Anyone interested in my 1D with a BG-ED3 battery grip w/extra batteries and chargers after my 1D-MkII arrives? My wife is going to shoot me! ! !

Interesting that Canon says:
AF speed, accuracy:
Mark II: Excellent
1D and 1Ds: Good
How's 10D?
Also that they removed "Pattern Sharpness" setting from Mark II.

The MkII has split the work load of the onboard CPU (or "chip" ) into two distict and seperate CPUs.
One handles everything else,. and the new second CPU is dedicated to too Auto Focus ONLY

Is it time to put the lawn chair in the front yard yet? I want to position my lumpy self in the best possible place to insure the earliest possible delivery. Is the latest word still mid-April?
