played around with the 50mm 1.8 some more on a rainy day, heres what i got. hope you guys like it!

So if you won't tell us how you did it, will you tell us how many matches you went through before you got the "good" shot? :D

Great idea. I'm not interested in how many matches you got through, but how many tables and do you have holes in your carpet now?

nice shot.

It looks to me that there was something was supporting at the base of the match, and PS'd it out after.

I tried this (inspired by this thread) and found it impossibly hard.

_I_ think he did this with a maybe 1/2 second shutter in TOTAL darkness, then fired the flash manually. This way, all shutter lag is avoided.

If not that way, I'm fairly sure s/he used second curtain sync.

Here is my attemp

Used some blue tack to keep the match standing..Tried cloning the blue tack and adding a little blur to the bottom of the match.
