Been taking shots all through it. It's the weirdest sight at full eclipse...!

Thanks! That's the first time I've really noticed one - and had the fortune of a clear sky as well. Bizarre reddish moon, quite murky - if you didn't know what it was you'd just think the moon was hidden by a patch of industrial haze or cloud...

We're going to miss it here......the eclipse starts just at moonrise and the eastern sky is cloudy right now.

Snagged a hazy eclipse back in '04, but no such luck this year. Too cloudy.

Nice shots from those I've seen so far.

You already missed it. ;)

This was about the best I could do. It was cloudy as heck untill the last 10 minutes.

Cool ... I recognise most of the places from my trip. I only had a 3x zoom 3mp P&S when I went there but I took some great shots ... lots of the Elephants. I went to the same Tea place and bought tea to send home. Sent it from India first chance we had but somehow it got lost. I think there are some Indian PO workers still enjoying a good brew even now ;-) Good to See Galle is looking Ok again.

Well having seen some of the great color here and in other threads i realize just how much i screwd mine up NO color in them - they are exsposed for the uncovered bit , i tried a few settings but was convinced the shade part would not show detail ( yep i got it wrong )

I didn't get any photos here, but I had a perfect view. Crystal clear skies. (it was cold though).

It's incredible to look at the ball of rock hanging in the sky...
