Experimenting with PP

Took this photo of a rock in a river the other day, the river was a horrible dirty brown colour so I thought I'd try to make it a bit more presentable. I ended up with this where the water has an almost pencil sketched effect whilst the rock remains sharp(ish), I think the slight blue tone just tops it off.

Any thoughts?

The rock looks like some weird sea creature in an illustrated book :) How did you get that effect on the water, I'm diggin it
