The lowepro is more expensive. Is it worth the extra cash?
Anyone went thru this comparison?

I took a look at the Compurover before I got my Adventure 9, but I really wasn't too thrilled with the way Compurover splits in 2 in order to get to the camera equipment. I liked how the Adventure 9 has a flap in the front in order to get to the equipment on the bottom. The Compurover also looked as bulky as the Computrekker and I wanted to get away from that look considering I already had the Computrekker.

I went through this last week.
I chose the compurover because it's bigger and has a place to put my tripod. we'll see how well it works out when I take it snowshoeing next week.

Any other comments.
I need to carry a 30D, 17-55, 70-200 F/4 and 85 1.8. Plust 15.4 laptop next time I travel.
Want to get a Sigma 120-300 at some point also.
IF these 2 bags won't do please suggest other that I may research.
I won't be carrying the Bigma always but only for sporting events..

I vote for the Compurover. It is certainly a bigger bag, but seems to hold quite a bit. It is relatively comfortable for extended periods.

I also like the attached rain cover and tripod holder.

I use mine regularly. It holds most of the stuff I find myself carring around everyday.

Decided to go with the Adventure 9.
Carries my 30d with 17-55 attached, hood reversed, and 70-200 f/4 hood reversed. plus 15.4 laptop, magazines and odds and ends. Still has room for 2 more lenses.
Skied all day with it today without the laptop.
The bag is very comfortable. Love it so far.

The REASON CompuRover is split in to two compartments is so that you can carry OTHER stuff besides camera and lenses. Like when you travel on a plane, you need to carry your toiletries, laptop, ipod/books, passport, a change of clothes other super critical stuff...all as cabin baggage.

But it might be too big for "daily or short" use. You need another bag to do that. I use a MiniTracker for that.

Thought I would add this.
Walked around for 2 days in NY in cold, wet/rainy snowy conditions and this bag held up.
It wasn't a downpour but it was fairly wet conditions.
Only wish I could store the camera with the 70-200 mounted. I have to swich back to the 17-55 to store in the bag. A little inconveinient but not a major problem.

That is exactly why I bought my CompuRover. It worked extremely well on my trip to Jamaica last Oct. Carried my laptop, 10D, 28-135, 20-35 and all my travel "stuff" (passport, magazines for the flight, notepad, cellphone, iPaq, etc, etc, etc). I could not have been happier.
