Today I was at the regional Destination Imagination competition that is held annually for the K-12. While the points were sorted out, the local favorite clown, Jim Jackson of Manitou Theater Art, entertained some 200 folks in this school gym. I shot these in ISO1600 but no noise reduction was applied, the proof that when the exposure is right on, there is no noise to deal with...;)

Thanks, Dwight. The Destination Imagination (DI) is a national competition program for K-12 that begins at the regional level. It's a team competition format that stresses creative problem solving. The competition involves two: the team creativity presentation that has to include certain elements within a certain time period, and the instant team challenge where each team is given a problem to solve with absolutely no prior information about the problem. The scores are based on team work, creativity, and presentation quality. My 2nd and 4th grade boys have participated in this event for the past 3 years. Here's more info if interested:

Excuse my ignorance, but what's "muls"?

Sorry, I forgot which forum I was in. He's probably the finest boxing photographer around. He shoots for HBO and all the top venues.

I didn't mean to take anything away from your capturing of the spirit of the performer. Very fine work!

Speaking of the spirit of the performer, that Polaroid act is very endearing to me.... He pulls this old Polaroid camera out in front of some 200 audiences and says that the old thing is no "panoramic," so he'd like to have everyone SQUEEZE closer together so he could take a picture of us... and all the young kids, being as innocent as they're, try to do as he asks.... It's hillarious!:lol:
