Few pics taken from yesterday's snowboard competition at Northstar in Tahoe. Wish I could have went up today for the superpipe competition. Be sure to drop me any CC worth mentioning, I'm still very much an amateur at this and would like to learn a lot.

You did well with the exposure, shooting snow is hard to do. They seem a bit too saturated and contrasty for me, but with harsh light there isn't much you can do. Also a bit too centered for the type of shots they are, but you avoided the guy in the sky syndrome, so well done.

Play with focus points that aren't centered, dial back the EC a bit, as you blew out any light colors on the riders as well.

Very cool pics. The sequence one is nice.

Do you need to special pass to take picture or just show up and shoot?

thanks transcend, thats the kind of critiques I'm looking for. Hopefully I'll get some more thoughts from other veterans.

thanks for the comments everybody.

4x4, the event was roped off, anybody that wanted to go inside and take close up shots had to have a pass, but its easy to take pics from behind the fences.
