Extender EF 2x II and EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

Would anyone know if the Extender EF 2x II would work on the new

EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM ?

I'd have to say no..

The Canon 1.4 and 2.0 extenders only work with 'L' lenses.. I just took a peek on Canon's lens site and they haven't included the 70-300 DO in the list of lenses compatible with the extenders..

Does anyone know of a site that has tested a preproduction or production release of that lens? I beleive that that lens is to hit the market in May sometime. Does anyone have a specific date? Thanks
