I'm fairly new to the city and would like to join a club or something to meet some other like-minded people. I don't mind shooting on my own but it's much more enjoyable to go out with a few people.

Anyone know if such a club exists?

Hey, welcome to Vancouver :D

I'm not really sure what photography clubs there are around here but, there's one group on Flickr that seems to do meet-ups pretty regularly. Maybe you can catch one of those.. I've never attended one but I do follow along on their discussions and stuff.

Here's the group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/vandigicam/

I too would be interested in hearing about any other clubs around here.

I belong to http://nwphoto.org

There are MANY clubs in Vancouver. But exactly where in Vancouver you are is key.

I know that they are having a North West meet at the end of the month down in Seattle which looks interesting, but I think we should have one of our own up here.

^^ Were you at the last two SMUGs? You should say hi. I was the guy in the front at the last one who took the pics of Becker.

I think I'm speaking at April's SMUG re: SEO for photographers

You can also check the POTN activity in the Vancouver Area. They seem to arrange activities
as people have time available.
