Meerkat, yes it is a young bird. There were several young ones around that day.

Henkbos, yup the exposure is off. This shot is a crop of the original and unfortunatly the highlights are blown on the top of his head. I am still learning the art of exposure.

I do agree about the head being a little too bright.
