I was actually going through my bulk mail and came across a offer for a camera. And although no pic or any kind of info was there I did notice this

Subject: Pay nothing for a Canon EOS 8mp digital camera
Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2040 23:06:52-0800

Are there still going to be 8mp cameras in the year 2040?!?!lol. And I just noticed when I click back that the email was sent
Wed May 29, 1963,lmao.

Very very funny to me. Or maybe this is like back to the future.

Is this a older me that has traveled to the future to advice a younger yet still not older than the oldest me to get a recent camera for free, although it wouldnt be recent to the future me? How in the world did the past me know what an email is? Or know about mp's for that matter? LMAO

Whats the goofiest camera related junkmail youve gotten?

i wouldnt be suprised if cameras are still 8mp in 2040, its just that they will be built into our contact lenses!

Interesting. We keep needing more and more MP in our cameras, but the human eye isn't improving.

Soon we humans will have to use loupes or other magnifying aids to look at photographs (and look at billboards from a distance of 12 inches).:D

I'm wondering if lens technology will be able to keep up?

There was no email in 1963!

The most advanced method of communication back then aside from telegrams, telephone and radio was teletype.

Yes I know, that is what struck me as funny. It was sent 1963 but dated in the email as 2040.

If you go through the IP addresses you can usually find out where it came from last. It might have been relayed through several servers though. The problem is that banning IP addresses doesn't do much good now what with the spambots that infect innocent users' PCs.

I just found it goofy, not for once did I ever think it was real. I was curious if anyone else has had these or a funny experience with camera advertisements,
