Olympus P-400 Printer

There is a line running vertically through my prints on my Olympus P-400 printer. I have cleane dthe head as recommended by the support website but no improvment. Customer service is closed today, just wondering if anyone has any information or experience in this area.

Open the front of the printer and check the ribbon alignment is straight and your not getting a creese in the ribbon, next check the ribbon its self for a missing section in one of the colours, you can manually roll one section of the ribbon forward through the three colours and over coat with the printer off and the front open, if the line is in all the prints then you should only need to scroll one set of colours through, next could it be a foriegn body on the press roller such as a grain of dirt which may be scratching the ribbon as it is going through when printing. Lastly the heating element in the printer may not be giving an even transfer across the page.
