I have a Canon PowerShot S110. I can take the pictures. However, I need help to put them up on my computer. I am NOT a learned computer operator. I need someone to say 1. Connect camera to computer. 2. Then ... 3. Then ... 4. Then ... . I am 75 years old and have tried every which way to use Adobe Photo Suite, but it will not recognize my camera. PLEASE, can someone help me. Thanks in advance. Sue K

I'm not familiar with any program by Adobe called Photo Suite but whatever software program you're using may just organize them after you have downloaded them. You should install the software from the CDs that came with your camera especially the one that includes the Canon software (Zoombrowser for windows or Imagebrowser for Mac OS) to recognize your camera and download the pictures. I can't give you step by step instructions other than insert the CDs and follow the directions that pop up. Good luck.

I would avoid all that connecting the camera stuff by spending $25 to buy a "card reader". This is a device that is permanently connected to the computer. Here's what you do (I am assuming you have a Windows computer and not a Mac):
* remove the Compact Flash card from the camera,
* insert the card in to the card reader,
* open the "My Computer" icon on the desktop
* Double Click on the icon that corresponds to the card reader
* Open the folder(s) containing your pictures
* Drag the pictures into a folder you've created on the computer
* Open the Adobe software and you should be able to locate the pictures on your computer.
If you have a Mac, the process is somewhat simplified because when you put the Compact Flash card in to the card reader, it should show up automatically on your desktop. At that point, you can create a new folder on the Mac desktop and drag the pictures from the card reader into the new folder.
I hope that helps.

If you tell us what operating system you use (Windows Xp, Mac OS 9.2, etc.), whether you have the Canon Digital Camera Solutions Disk installed, what version of this CD you installed, etc., I'm sure someone can give you the detailed instructions.

Have you installed the goodies that came with the camera? If you have installed the software, your Abode Photo Suite should be able to recognize your camera. Perhaps there is a setup required in Abode Photo Suite.
After everything is set up,
Connect camera to computer.
Turn camera On
Set it to playback mode (not taking pictures mode)
Select Aquire Photo (or whatever the menu selection is called in Photo Suite)
This should connect Photo Suite to your camera, where you can then pick which picture you want off your camera to load.)
You could also, download the images from your camera to your computer (using the download software that came with the camera) and then just Load the images into Photo Suite.
If you have Windows XP, you may not need load any camera software, as I think it can access the camera without any additional drivers.
