I see a lot of the pro's on here have awesome signatutres (done with text and freehand with tablets) and I was wondering if someone would be able to provide a quick 'how to' with a program like CS2, Lightroom etc.

Create a custom brush :)
Design your signature and crop it. (Make it as big as you're ever likely to need plus a bit so you never lose quality, you'll be able to resize, change opacity etc the same as with other brushes).
Edit - Define Brush Preset - Give it a name.
It'll now appear at the bottom of the Brushes menu.
Hope this helps :)

I did it differently. I took a piece of printer paper & signed my name a bunch of times until I got one that I liked. Then I scanned the page into a jpeg or tif file. open the file in Photoshop & then selected the signature & copied it to a new image. Then just copy & paste that onto my photo.

russel brown ahs a tutorial on it.
Lightroom makes it ridiculously easy, but not as customizable
Lots of ways of doing it, I just did an action that resizes the image, adds the border, places the logo constrains the image to a certain pixel count and saves

Hi there Corey. Nice to hear from you. I have Lightroom and it has me stumped. I can make a sig under the 'print' tab and put it where I want it but, like you, I want to be able to add it to the photo with a border etc before I print. I'll get my head around it.
With your help we've got our photog for the wedding. We'll be making our own album so I'll have it figured out by then :)

Hi csm328, I have the same problem that I'm trying to get over as well. I want to make a signature and border on my photo's and export them before printing. Any ideas from anyone?

Use a sharpie and a piece of computer paper. take a picture of your sig, boost contrast, select it with the wand and cut it out. define it as a custom brush, and stamp it on another layer. use blending modes and an overlay to make it exactly how you want... and different anytime you wish.

With the sharpie photo method, you'll even get the look and texture of a real sig, i love it.
