Here's an interesting link.Someone has discovered the EFs lens makes a pretty strong macro lens reversed

He's set his up so that it has all the electronic connections. Not entirely nessesary but definitely the easiest way to use it 8)
Very cool!

huh... what's new to that?
We poor NON-DSLR users (G3) use a reversed EF-Lenses all the time for macro by screwing it on the adapter with a male-male adapter ring...
Search in this forum for the numerous threads about this subject...

Look at the setup. Have you ever seen a reversed lens that could still autofocus? I haven't.

I agree... still keeping the autofocus is interesting

Pretty nice "hack" :)

I've not tried such a set up... (even pure manual) but the results speak for themselves. I did not realise that with an SLR the reverse trick would work without a second lens...

There is a commercial version of this.. I think the company is "Nova" ??? but it is a bit pricey.

Yes the reverse trick is something that people have been doing for years.Even the manufacturers made reversing rings for their lenses in the manual focus days.
I was actually surprised when i heard of the use of added/reversed lenses on digicams :)
There are tons of ways of acheiving macro, this is one of the more novel ways i've seen
