Boy a lot of you slacked off. But 12 of us showed up and had a good time. Walked all over downtown Seattle and hopefully got a few good shots.


So how many are still in for NW Trek tommorow? We're still going and rented a nice big lens to try out ;)

Hey all! Seattle was really fun today, thanks to everybody that braved the weather with us! Between my g/f and I, we should have a couple of keepers... Sorry we didn't really say goodbye to everybody - we just kinda split off and ended up by the car, LoL.

Were still on for NW Trek tomorrow, and were bringing 3-4 others as well, see ya then!!!

It was a fine day for a meet in Seattle we started at Pioneer Square and wandered to the Waterfront stopped at Pike Place Market for lunch then wandered the streets of downtown and ended the day in the international district.
I will post some shots in Urban Life after I sort thru the batch.

well all the Idahoans did attempt to find y'all but ended up driving ourselves in circles with a fairly impatient seven year old in the backseat so we ended up wandering on our lonesome... went to the Pikes Market, the Underground Tour the waterfront and had a pretty good day pictures will have to come a bit later my aunt doesn't have wireless and I finally broke down and called for the password to get on her computer.. Abby-girl has her heart set on the Trek for tomorrow so I wanted to confirm times and where we'll meet up.. Speak to the tourists.. I'm going to do mapquest to figure out how to get there at all.. But, luckily my cousin has a better sense of direction than I do...

Whoo Hooo!!! Love the group shots.....I had a great time and a nice lunch, Those who couldn't / didn't come missed a great time. We raised a lot of interest, with people on the street wondering if we were a club or what?? Met a professional shooter doing engagement photos by the bubblegum wall, in post alley, he then asked us all to take a shot of the couple where we did the group shoot, I will be getting him hooked up to POTN...looked like he was shooting a 1D.....

the pictures crack me up.. I don't know how I didn't see a dozen people walking around with Canons today... It'll be a couple of days before I can get any of mine downloaded but, i'll share as soon as I can. I think we'll play it by ear for the Trek.. I have my niece with me and the rain/cold wouldn't bug me terribly but the little person might not be up for it.. If it was like today I think it'll be great..

Just got home and have just started copying files off my card. Some great shots here -- interesting to see how everyone sees the same scenes so differently. I think I'll learn a thing or two from seeing everyone elses perspectives.

I was bumbed that I was too sick to come but after looking at the photos I'm really bumbed now. When I saw that group photo I couldn't help but visualize a poparatzy mob swarming around town with huge lens on, lol. I bet you guys could have created a huge crowd by one of you putting on a cap and dark glasses and have the rest of the group take photos like crazy...wish I was there. :-)

there's a reason for that.. she's normally restricted to nifty when she's shooting for a couple of reasons. 1. If she did something to it I could replace it the next day 2. She gets lazy with zoom lenses.. so the tamron is a treat for her... She is cute, if I do say so myself and she was having a great time.. ofcourse at the end of the day I want to throw those wheely shoes out the window but she likes them too much... :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Hey Washingtonians....here's a thread about a fellow POTN'er who got ripped off selling a 5d on Ebay. He sent it to an address in Redmond. The details of the address are on page 2 of the thread. I was thinking some of you guys could give some intel on the location...maybe someone lives close. Just a thought.
