Studio or Studios?

I often see business names/websites with one of these in the name, but always wondered if there was a real difference. Does anyone know which one is proper or better? Or is it just personal preference?

let english tell you what the differences are,

studio = 1

studios = more than 1

either some people got more than one studio, or they don't understand english that well

Well I understood the use of the plural to show more than one of something haha.
