I was browsing through my photos I took way back when I had the 4mp Panasonic and came across a shot I got of Mickey Mantle's statue in front of the ballpark.

Since I have a better camera and a better overall knowledge of photograph I decided to go back and get some more pics of the statues. Here are some I shot.

I like having a wider angle lens compared to the old p&s:D

Oklahoma City's Bricktown Ballpark, they have full statues of some the great Oklahoma players that made it to the big league. Then they have busts of some of the others that got there but didnt become as famous. Thanks

Maybe I can get out there one day to see it for myself.

BTW, I'm in Durham, NC where the Durham Bulls Minor league team plays. We've had a few famous players come through as well.... 8-)

Cool, we're (Oklahoma City Redhawks) are the AAA team to the Texas Rangers so we've had a few of their starters come through. A couple of years ago we had two MLB teams (Baltimore Orioles and St Louis Cardinals) play exhibition games here. What an experience.
